First ever facilitator training in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY™ methodology in Ireland
On the 16th of August 9 participants took part in the first ever facilitator training program in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY™ method that has taken place in Ireland. The attendees completed the foundation program in LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY™ in Arclabs, part of the WIT facilities
LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY™ is a facilitated process which assists participants to develop powerful and compelling solutions to business problems. The methodology is based on extensive research and has been used by some of the worlds leading organisations and the process enables teams to address complex issues in a hands on, powerful and practical way.
This program was designed to allow participants to gain a foundation knowledge of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY™ methodology and will equipped them with the base skills necessary to use the methodology for short sessions such as idea-generation, team issues, coaching or branding discussions.
The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY™ methodology is suitable for facilitators, trainers, project managers, consultants, academics, researchers, educators, coaches or leaders. The foundation program is particularly useful to those who wish to understand the theory underpinning the methodology and to learn how LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY™ facilitation can be applied to real life issues.
The participants covered:
- An introduction to the theories that the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY™ methodology has been built on.
- A hands-on, practical introduction to and overview of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY™ methodology.
- Introduction to the core steps of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY™
- Hands on practice in a workshop as a participant
- An understanding of how participants feel and what they will experience during a session
- Introduction to the facilitation processes for individuals and understanding of the key steps to successful facilitation
