I have just returned to the office following a couple of days in Cork working with a group on their Vision, Identity and Strategy.  I facilitated the process through Serious Play and although I know how powerful the process is, I never cease to be amazed at how much value it gives to clients.  As an example during my post workshop discussions with the participants the responses from the participants included “I have participated in hundreds of facilitated sessions in my career and this is by far the best I have come across”

I developed a custom workshop to help the team meet their objectives for the day.  It was challenging and ambitious however they stuck with the process and by the end of the day we met the objectives laid out fully, delivering a clear identity for the team and also individual and team actions required to deliver the vision.

On the drive home it was good to reflect on another job well done and I couldn’t help wondering how many more organisations could benefit from letting go and playing a bit more in order to have more clarity and buy in to where the organisation is going and what it needs to do.
